There is a special
skill and art to acting
in front of the camera as opposed to stage. If
film
acting
is your area of emphasis, the SFA will get
you in front of the camera, giving you the guidance and
experience necessary to act in film.
SoCal
Film Academy Members work together in teams to create short
films. The production teams will allow members to become
familiar with the varying aspects of filmmaking, including
directing, producing, editing, acting, writing, working on
the production crew, working with quality equipment, and gaining experience. |

Crews assign roles and create
projects from conception to storyboarding to script writing to
shooting to editing to screening. Each team creates a
professional quality short film production and screens it at the
end of the session, readies for a big red-carpet premiere, and
the SFA submits each short to multiple film festivals.
Finally, experience your big
Red Carpet Premiere at the
2011 SoCal Film Festival
as part of the official screening program at this year's
prestigious event in September. |
